100% Free-range, pasture-reared Chicken from the Karoo
Familiér chicken comes from a farm in the Karoo. We believe in treating chickens with love and care, giving them only the best diet and allowing them to live as chickens are intended. Our chickens are raised following organic standards, but are not certified organic. During the winter there are heaters in their chicken coops to keep them nice and warm and dry.
They are allowed to forage for food and have access to roam outdoors in a spacious camp. They are given free-range feed that is free from animal products (as used in conventional farming), as well as live worms, and sprouted seeds on an ad hoc basis. They also receive natural vitamins to keep their immune systems strong.
No antibiotics, growth promoters, stimulants, hormones or fish meal feed.
