Audi RS Q8 (2022)

£85,000.00

History/Overview

The RS Q8 is the apex of Audi’s SUV lineup, so it’s no coincidence that this mid-size utility is also quite good at nailing apexes. If you want an Audi crossover that can keep up with some of the world’s most impressive SUVs – either in a straight line or on a racetrack – the RS Q8 is the one to consider.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

The news for 2022 is limited to a few new standard features, which we’ve listed below.

Available Trims

Audi makes the RS Q8 in a single trim, powered by a 4.0L turbo V8 with mild hybrid assist, an eight-speed transmission, and AWD.

Standard Features

New to the standard features list this year are an RS sport exhaust, a redesigned heated steering wheel with shift paddles, and a slew of driver safety assists: intersection assistant, direct tire pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise assist, traffic jam assist, rear side airbags, traffic sign recognition, active lane departure warning, and turn/emergency assist.

Items carried over from 2021 include 22-inch wheels, four-wheel steering, matrix LED headlights with washers, dynamic LED taillights, heated/auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, power tailgate, air suspension, and power door closers.

Inside, you benefit from a panoramic sunroof, rear-door sun shades, four-zone A/C, ambient lighting, power steering wheel adjustments, auto-dimming mirror with compass, heated/ventilated front sport seats with power lumbar, and heated rear seats. Tech tricks start with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, digital gauges, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, head-up display, a premium stereo, garage remote, and wireless phone charging.

The RS Q8’s safety suite starts with the new-for-2022 items we listed above, and also comes with 360-degree camera views, parking assist, blind spot monitoring, exit assist, pre sense front/rear, and a camera distance sensor.

Key Options

A dynamic package is the only option that adds functional equipment with its sport differential and active roll stabilization. The RS Q8’s other packages are cosmetic, adding items like colour-coded seatbelts and stitching and, in some cases, 23-inch wheels.

Fuel Economy

Audi’s fuel consumption estimates for the RS Q8 are 18.0/12.3 L/100 km (city/highway).
