Siberian Larch (also known as Russian Larch) has the scientific name Larix sibirica. There are actually many types of larch, each belonging to the Larix genus.

This particular species grows natively as far west as the Finnish border, with distribution eastwards towards central Siberia in Russia — hence the name! The species has also been introduced to Canada, the US, Iceland and Greenland.

Siberian Larch Planed All Round (P.A.R) one of the toughest and most durable softwoods

Siberian Larch is a naturally durable timber due to a number of factors;

  • The presence of tannins in the wood create a high resistance to decay and rot, making Siberian Larch one of the toughest and most durable softwoods
  • High density means that it is more difficult for decaying organisms to penetrate the wood

All sizes listed are finished sizes

Lengths subject to availability but sold in 300mm increments ie 0.9m, 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.3m, 3.6m, 3.9m, 4.2m, 4.5m, 4.8m, 5.1m, 5.4m.

We will send the nearest quantity of timber that we can, but this is dependent on the lengths available at the time of order.

For example if you order 10 metres, we may send, and charge for, 3 lengths at 3.6m, giving you a total of 10.8m.

We will do our best to accommodate any lengths specified. We can’t always guarantee that we can supply requested lengths, but will supply closest length available.
